Cascina San Cassiano was born in 1990 in the heart of “Langhe”, in Alba in Piedmont region (Italy). The beauty and culture for good food of our land inspire them every day and moves their passion for the production of quality products.

The Langhe is an extensive hilly system that since 2014 have been officially included in the list of World Heritage property (UNESCO); the characteristic hills of this area, at the foot of the Alps, are dedicated to the production of great wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco, to the cultivation of excellent agricultural products such as the best hazelnut in the world and delicious fruit, and to the collection of one of the most delicious and expensive products of the world, the White Alba Truffle.

Alba is the capital of this territory with important wine-making and viticulture centres, collection and processing centres of the Tonda Gentile delle Langhe Hazelunt and the place where the International Alba White Truffle Fair takes place. Moreover, this territory has developed an established food and wine tourism known all over the world, thus increasing an excellent interest in the Langhe and Piedmont cuisine.

How to use it

Ideal with fettuccine, truffle linguine, organic farfalle pasta, the cream is ready to pour directly on the freshly drained pasta. To enhance the quality of the ingredients, we recommend mixing well before use. For an even creamier consistency, heat the cream over low heat and stir in the pasta cooking water. Also excellent for risotto or as dip.

The origin of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese remount to the Middle Ages, when the benedictine monks exploited the high milk production of the Parma territory. Today, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese is produced with just milk from Parma, salt, natural rennet and no additives at all. This cream is prepared with Parmigiano Reggiano DOP.
